Terms & Conditions for Students
User Uploads for Free Access
Our platform provides students the opportunity to contribute study documents relevant to their courses and universities. These documents are added to a shared repository, where they can be accessed by other users within the platform to promote academic collaboration and resource sharing.
As an incentive, students can earn seven days of free access to the platform for every five documents they upload, provided that each document meets our content standards and is accepted. This free access is cumulative, allowing users to extend their access by uploading additional sets of five accepted documents.
Responsibilities for Uploaded Study Documents
By uploading documents, users confirm that they hold the necessary rights to share the content on our platform, ensuring it is either copyright-free or that they have received permission from the copyright holder. Users are fully responsible for verifying that the materials they upload do not violate copyright or trademark laws.
Activities that infringe upon intellectual property rights—including the unauthorized reproduction or distribution of copyrighted materials, sample exams, textbooks, or other academic resources—are strictly prohibited. Unauthorized or counterfeit uploads may result in immediate account suspension or termination.
If you believe that any content on our platform infringes upon your intellectual property rights, please contact us with detailed information regarding the content in question and its location on the platform. Further details on this process are available in the Copyright Notice.
Study Document Access and Free Trial
- Access to Study Documents: Students have access to a growing repository of study documents contributed by other users, which may be relevant to their specific universities, majors, or courses. While we strive to expand our content base, we cannot guarantee the availability of materials for every university, major, or course. The platform relies on user contributions to build and diversify its resources, and we actively encourage users to participate.
- Free Trial: Students are eligible for a seven-day free trial, during which they can explore the study documents available on Zaker.io and evaluate whether the content meets their academic needs before committing to a subscription.
Public Question Banks
- Generating Practice Exams: Students can generate practice exams from Public Question Banks, engage with them interactively on Zaker.io, and receive instant feedback with detailed explanations to support their learning.
- Retakes and New Exams: Students have the flexibility to retake exams as many times as they like or generate new exams from the Question Banks, providing continuous opportunities to reinforce and deepen their understanding of course material.
Private Question Banks
- Creation and Use: Students can create their own Private Question Banks, allowing them to generate customized practice exams tailored to their specific study needs. By default, these Private Question Banks are accessible only to the student who created them, providing a personalized study experience. However, the owner of a Private Question Bank can choose to grant access to specific users, such as colleagues or classmates, enabling collaborative study and shared learning.
Terms & Conditions for Teachers
Eligibility and Role Assignment
Our team grants the Teacher role to individuals who have verified academic qualifications. If you believe you are eligible and would like to become a teacher on Zaker, please reach out to our team at support@zaker.io.
Exclusive Features for Teachers
- AI-Assisted Question Creation: As a teacher on Zaker, you gain access to an AI feature designed to help you create questions easily within a question bank.
- Publication Rights: Only teachers have the ability to publish Question Banks and make them public. By doing so, teachers can earn royalties based on student interactions with their published Question Banks.
- Referral Royalties: Teachers can also earn royalties for successful user referrals. This is not tied to the Question Banks and serves as an additional incentive for teachers to help grow the platform. These royalties are disbursed to the teachers' accounts at the end of each month.
Types of Question Banks
- Public Question Banks
- Availability: Accessible to all users with an active subscription.
- Royalties and Payments: Teachers earn royalties based on our royalty distribution formula whenever students generate practice exams from their Public Question Banks. Teachers also receive a one-time base fee of $0.25 per question to encourage the addition of more questions. Zaker.io reserves the right to change this base fee at any time. Royalties and the base fees are disbursed to the teachers' accounts at the end of each month.
- Private Question Banks
- Availability: Only accessible to the specific users designated by the owner.
- Compensation: No royalties or payments are provided for questions within Private Question Banks. These Question Banks are created by teachers voluntarily to support students without expecting financial compensation.
Publication Process
- Private by Default: All Question Banks created by teachers are private by default.
- Request to Publish: Teachers must request to publish their Question Banks to make them available to platform users.
Our Rights
- Quality Control: Zaker.io reserves the right to reject any publication request if the Question Bank's questions are deemed to be of low quality.
- Unpublishing: Zaker.io reserves the right to unpublish any Question Bank at any time if the quality of the Question Bank declines, if there are any copyright violations, or for any other reason at Zaker.io's discretion.
